Default NL100 | 3-way reraised pot with AKs, flop fd

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($100)
Button ($106.20)
SB ($96)
BB ($698.85)
UTG ($175.85)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $5, Hero raises to $15, 1 fold, SB calls $14.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $10.

Flop: ($46) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero...

What's a good bet size here? Would we ever check this in a 3-way pot? SBs cold call screams TT-QQ to me, so is betting here even profitable or should I just take my free card to the nuts?

I'd bet because a black 6 or 7 (even a T) on the turn would really suck if you check it through.

I always play to get it allin here if necessary. So I bet and push over a raise. With the money in the pot already and only 1 buyin deep you have plenty enough EV to get the lot in in this re-raised pot where you are almost certainly the favourite.

I don't get why it'd suck, Hero doesn't have a hand & opponent won't fold.

Because we are a favourite over any non-set hand and there is too much in the pot to play it passively.

Bet 40. Check turn if checked to when missed.

If you do bet, i would most of the time. Bet pot or even push it since you play for stacks anyway if you do bet.

if we bet we might as well shove, unless for some reason you believe a smaller bet has more FE, which I really dont.

If you do bet the flop, you're not getting a chance to 3-bet, you're calling an all-in. I think you're calling an AI a majority of the time. This is necessarily bad w/ your hand, just not sure that it's more profitable than waiting til the turn.
