Re: Playing a double draw w/ 3 different stack size scenarios
Betting in 1 is a mistake, so calling and reevaluating is best. You should jam 2 and 3.

Re: Playing a double draw w/ 3 different stack size scenarios
Push in scenario three. Threebet to 115 in scenario 2 (obviously calling a push and check-calling any turn except a club or a jack, open push these instead).
Scenario 1 raise to 115, call a push, open push the turn if called. |

cbal84,
How is betting in 1 a mistake? (Hint: It isn't) |

Re: Playing a double draw w/ 3 different stack size scenarios
Partly because the options we are given for 3-betting are push or call, which means that by betting, we're inviting a raise, which we can't jam against profitably because of the stack sizes. We don't want to put in the first bet unless we can put in most or all our stack on the flop, which we can't.
Partly because this deep, your fold equity isn't worth a whole lot. In the real world, it's probably a bet, but this isn't exactly a real world post. |

If you are calling a push, don't you want to maximize FE and just push to begin with? |

Re: Playing a double draw w/ 3 different stack size scenarios
the argument is 115 looks stronger and perhaps has more folding equity
who is the villain? MP or BB? |

Re: Playing a double draw w/ 3 different stack size scenarios
In both situations 1 and 2:
I semibluff, hoping not to get blown off my hand by a huge raise, with the intent of either winning the pot uncontested or increasing the pot in case I make either of my nut draws. I fold these instead of calling a huge huge raise, but call reasonable raises. (i.e. i bet 19 and opponent raises to 100) I'm not going to go crazy and try to get all-in on 12 outs if my opponent is likely calling. ----------------------------------------- In situation 3: I probably check behind and take my free card. Betting and calling any raise seems ok here too. Definately bet Turn if I check behind and Opponent Checks Turn. Probably check behind if I bet flop and opponent calls then checks turn unless I strongly believe he will fold to my 2nd bet. |
