big draw on turn, played by good 2p2er
pf fine, flop is obv fine, turn call is standard here yes? i've been thinking about this type of hand a lot... we have exactly 50% pot equity on the turn... is calling always going to be more profitable here against typical villain? who pushes?

Re: big draw on turn, played by good 2p2er
Pushing is not good imo. He's not gonna fold. And calling is always going to be profitable because you have immediate odds to do so agst his range, which has alot of sets in it, which you are 1:2 agst, and worse, which you are far better against.

Yeah he has a set. Call and stack him on river if u hit, he prob cant fold it because u might have overpair...

call/see river. prob fold unless you hit your straight/flush outs, if you 'improve' to 2p/trips i still prob find a fold if he shoves.

Seriously. Can we just stop with this? THERE IS NO TYPICAL VILLIAN.

Villain, no matter what type of player, can have ANYTHING here from a set to two pair to an overpair to a big draw. So get off your high horse. |

Re: big draw on turn, played by good 2p2er
oh, and we don't have 50% equity on the turn, i mistyped in pokerstove. more like 43% (which probably makes a call even more correct than a push).

push [/ QUOTE ] Since you gave no reasoning I assume you didn't put any thought into this post, so I won't bother asking for your logic behind it. You have many outs, he's obviously calling a push, and you're obviously behind at this point. Why not wait to see if you hit? Your straight and flush are probably your only clean outs, while your trips MAY be good. I find it hard to believe you're not getting any value if you hit, which would be an argument towards a push. |
