1/2 on Party. Villian (SB) has just sat down. I have AQs on the button and 3 bet a 70/40. 4 players see the flop.
Flop is AKK rainbow. Checked to me, I bet, SB cr me, the two other players fold and leave me heads up. I'm going to showdown obv. Should I 3 bet the flop and call down a cap? Should I just call down from here? The thing I don't like about 3betting the flop is it opens you up to a turn C/R from a K, which you have to pay off, right? |

I'd never raise anywhere.

You would call on the BTN w/ AQs against a 70/40??
Why is that? |

I guess I was unclear. I'd never raise postflop after putting the first bet in on the flop. I don't think you have an edge to push really, and if you do it is likely that there is some extra money to be made from hands that are attempting a bluff. In other words, when you do have some kind of edge to push it will be against an aggressive player. That same aggressive player may occasionally try to make a move on a flop like this against a preflop raiser. If you put in any more raises, you do get more from his made hands, but that is somewhat negated by the money you lose from making him fold a bluff.

I'd never raise anywhere. [/ QUOTE ] If the turn or river is a card between Q-T and the other card is a bank, we should raise the river IMO. |

We don't know villain, but his fishy preflop cc of 2.5SB's would cause me to suspect he sucks. So if he has a worse hand, he will probably bet the turn and river. I would just call and call.

Ok, thanks guys, I was pretty sure I should just call down after he raised, but I wanted to make sure.
