Default 1/2 overpair with pair on board

Hey, by the turn second c/r I figured I was beat. There was a chance he had a set on the flop from his c/r but after he does it again I figure he likely has an 8. Do I go into calling mode since the pot is big alright or fold it since I know I'm beat?

A rather strange double-checkraise by the big blind. Nonetheless, the pot is large enough that I believe you should call in this spot with your overpair.

Rather strange? This is 8x 99.9% of the time. I fold in this protected pot.

Problem is, if you figure you're beat, you have 2 outs max. But you don't get 20:1 when it came back to you on the turn. --> fold turn, though it sucks.

Fold turn. You get approximately 6-1 to go to showdown here.

is checking behind the turn and either calling a river bet or betting if checked to a bad line here?

I think you can fold the turn. On the flop he tells you that he has at least TP. If he had only TP on the flop he has has trips on the turn. If he had more than TP on the flop, he had you beat already.
