Default Ask me Fantasy Football questions to help you win your league

I'm a writer for a very prominent Fantasy Football web site. I've been watching the NFL all season long, breaking down film, etc. I even consult with a poker pro to help his team(s). Figured it's my turn to give back to 2+2 ...

Fine.

McNabb was my QB, and since he's been out, I've been playing QB roulette. We have very deep benches, so I have a lot of choices. Pick one of these guys to be my QB for playoff week 1:

Jeff Garcia (@ WAS)
Chad Pennington (vs BUF)
J.P. Losman (@ NYJ)
Brad Johnson (@ DET)
Aaron Brooks (@ CIN)

Joey Harrington and Bruce Gradkowski are probably the best available guys on the waiver wire.

I've gone with Pennington the last few weeks and he's performed up to expectations, but I'm leaning Garcia for next week after 2 more than adequate fantasy performances against non-terrible defenses the last two weeks.

Romo and Vick both have good matchups. If TDs count 6, go with Romo, if they count 4 or less, go with Vick.

Hasselbeck has actually been very pedestrian against Arizona because they don't throw much against them. Kitna has the best matchup.

Care to tell me why? Most of my friends who do fantasy agree with you on Pennington, but I'm pretty convinced Garcia is the best play. Pennington is pretty streaky, and he has been playing well, but Garcia put up almost 30 this week and outscored Pennington last week too. And the Eagles need to win, and they're playing a pretty bad team. And while they are running more than they did with McNabb behind center, they're still a passing team. Garcia isn't flashy, but he doesn't seem to be making mistakes either.

Garcia is the pick, and I don't know how this is even close. Washington has one of the worst pass D's, the Eagles are a passing team, and he's been great in his first two games. Pennington alternates between very good games and poor games. Buffalo's pass D is bottom half but not as bad as Wash.
