Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
Influenced by the sports questions in the Sklansky forum:
Five CPL players go up against 10 noobs. In addition to being outmanned 2:1, the CPL players only get $800 to start, while the noobs get $16000. Who wins a scrim on dust2 where each team will get to act as Ts and CTs for 5 rounds apeice (also assume that the money resets to $800 and $16000 respectively when the teams switch sides)? |

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
I've only watched a roommate play, but I'm pretty sure the guys good at the game win.

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
5 CPL players, not close.
EDIT: by not close I'd expect about .5 kills around for the noobs. Maybe less, it depends what you mean by noobs. |

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
CPL players, no chance.
I haven't played in over a a year and a half, but am confident if you put me in a server with 3 people who have played the game for a only a week, I could beat them (maxrounds 15) 16-14 or better. The score depends on your definition of noobs. If you got 10 people who have never played an FPS, the CPL clan wins 30-0. If you have 10 people who have played a week of CS, CPL clan wins 28-2. If you picked, at random, 10 people from CS servers (varying skill levels), I would guess the CPL clan would win 18-12 or so. |

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
I would easily have at least a 3:1 K ratio playing semi-noob s and I play pretty kamikaze/aggro because I am impatient like that.

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
CPL level players would destroy them, and even semi-good players. They'd just glock/usp save the first round or two then buy deagles until they got a few entries and got guns. After that forget about it. A team like Hacker.gm, Pentagram, or even a US team liked 3D/coL wouldn't drop a round on either side once they got guns.

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
having used to play pretty high level, i think u underestimate how good these players really are.... i would say 5 top cpl players could probably beat 20 bad players like 9 out of 10 rounds

Re: Hypothetical Counterstrike Question
Wait are we talking about 5 random CPL level players or a clan? There is a pretty big difference.
