Default email i sent to stars re: button bots

I sit at tables alone and start up new games. I wait for other people to come and play with them. A lot of sites hire props to do this for them. I do it because I like shorthanded and headsup games.

It usually takes a bit for someone else to sit, but once they do, WITHOUT FAIL, a third player instantly sits down and only plays their button. They do it so quickly that it has to be a bot. These players are unfairly taking money directly from me. While I realize it is not against any rules, it is unethical and against the spirit of the game.

I have to say that this is utter [censored]. They are stealing from me and I always end up being the big blind, since I was the first to sit.

whether it's a bot or not, players with this type of history of play should be banned, or severely warned and then banned.

I have seen this happen quite a bit when I used to play at party but never at stars. At party I always was able to sit out when I recognized one of these freeriders and I alerted anyone else that was at the table so they would know also.

Can't you do this at stars? I am interested to hear star's response.

Yeah, what I've started doing is sitting out when they sit and it seems to screw up the bot. They don't play and leave then.

The game starts fresh. Two people are blinds and the 3rd is the button. They sit down and take a hand if they happen to be the button in the new game, and then immediately leave.

You can make immense profits by programming a computer to sit down and play only the button at new tables and just raise AA-JJ and never fold.

I have noticed this too.

Solution:

Let all new players pay a BB.

I guess, but it's a pattern of play that's pretty easy to detect. Why not just warn and ban and leave the games as is? I think it's just a minor problem that noone noticed or thought about before.
