Why Won\'t Windows Start Up?
When I start my laptop, it takes me to the Safe Mode option screen, and none of the options seem to work. When I select either Safe Mode option, it boots up until "...system32/Drivers/mup.sys," then resets. When I select "Last Known Good Config," it takes me to the XP splash screen, then quickly resets.
Any ideas what the problem could be? |

Any recent changes to the machine? Did it just stop starting one day?

Re: Why Won\'t Windows Start Up?
Do you have an XP cd? If so, a repair install is the easiest fix for your problem.

Believe it or not I've heard that wireless desktops often cause that driver to hang. That may or may not apply to you.

Re: Why Won\'t Windows Start Up?
my guess would be some OS corruption. You on XP? You could give this a shot (boot off XP cd then repair)
