PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (2 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Button (t9040)
Hero (t4460)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Button calls t200, Hero checks.

I feel like I have just enough chips that I dont need to push and risk being trap'ed by Ax which they love to do at this level. And kind of like Id rather push 82 than JT which can double me up post-flop if I hit. Am I just wrong. Should I push?

Flop: (t625) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks,
Im not really sure why I decided to check. It just seemed good at the time. I guess I felt if I bet something like 600, he might just raise me with any two and then I'd have to fold. How do you respond to a raise? Is checking and seeing what he does better?

Button bets t8615 (All-In), Hero calls t4035 (All-In).

The guy is a donk which played into my decision. I didnt think he'd push 2 pair or a K, and would probably raise JQ and JA preflop. It just seeemd too much like he wanted me to fold. My call wound up being correct, but was it wise?

Turn: (t13275) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: (t13275) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: t13275

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

1. I generally open preflop though a call is fine
2. I generally open preflop though a fold is fine.
3. Fine
4. Shove.
5. Shove preflop. Call flop this is almost never a king.

Pudge, I agree with everything you said but if Hero were to open hand 2 this would be an easy call to the SB's shove correct? I can't imagine villian having a hand that has hero crushed here other than maybe AK. Otherwise I would assume he his looking for action with QQ+.

If I am correct to call is my reasoning also right or are we calling for different reasons?
