Default Buy in adjustments

How many buy ins will you stay deep with at a casino where you feed into a main game and might get a bad table with deep stacks where you could lose multiple buyins on one hand?
I ask because online i used to pop in and out when i got deep stacked and maybe the people to my left got deep stacked too.

what about the fact that since they have deep stakes they might actually be better players than the guys at the feeder?

if you are uncomfortable with your deepstack game and more often than not you are finding there are better players than you at the table, then yes, you might want to rathole. if that's what youre getting at.
