Just a reminder that the ABC ProAm Poker Equalizer debuts this Saturday on ABC. Check local listings for times.

Format is six prelim matches, six winners advance to final table (airs in December, I think).

First match has Negreanu, Juanda, Lindgren, Ivey, and two amateurs.

For those who are interested, Cheryl Hines and Jose Canseco are the celebrity amateur players.

Cheryl is actually a pretty decent player. And, of course, Jose is a clown at the table...

Many ABC affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, are airing the shows AFTER midnight.

One of the first 3 shows won't air until 4am in San Francisco.

Apparently, the $200,000 per hour or so of time-buy fees that TiltWare shipped to ESPN, Inc. don't guarantee afternoon time slots on ABC across the U.S.

For some reason, I don't see West Coast affiliates choosing to air poker over children's programming, LIVE college football, and LIVE soccer.

The live MLS soccer on ABC is also a time-buy with ESPN, Inc. However, MLS was able to get a time slot guarantee across at least 90% of ABC affiliates because MLS bought time as a bundle in conjunction with the 2002 and 2006 World Cups (MLS, not ESPN, was the US English-language TV rightsholder to the 2002 and 2006 World Cups).

TiltWare apparently did NOT get a time slot guarantee from ESPN, Inc.
