Default Sort of interesting preflop spot

3 handed on party, I have 67s on the button. I have raised my button the last 4 times in a row and I can feel them getting rdy to play back at me with air.

Fold call or raise?

Raise. Stacks matter if they 3bet.

I don't normally make much money going all in with 7 high... plus I don't really 4 bet anything heads up.

I'm having trouble finding the interesting part of this: a raise can't be that bad: the most it can cost you is 3.5 BBs right? Go ahead and raise, it's more fun.

For a long time, this exact same situation has been debated. Should I open 67s on the button? Well, after a lot of deliberation, my eastern european poker thinktank and I have come up with the answer. We have discovered that 67s fits into one of the sub-criteria for raising hands on the button. We devised a sort of "walk through" so to speak for figuring out whether hands should be raised here. Now I realize that there are some hands that you should open on the button that dont fit into these guidelines, but those are just exceptions, and exceptions must be sometimes made. Here is what you must ask yourself:

1) Do I have 2 cards? Is it a misdeal? Dont bother raising if its a misdeal. Just inform the dealer.

2) So you have 2 cards. Are they suited? Suited is good. If they are suited proceed to 3).

3) Do you have at least 2bbs infront of you? If yes, you may raise. If no, calling is your only other viable option.
