Myspace question....how do you tell if your message was read?

I think I saw awhile back someone saying that they can tell if the message they sent to someone's inbox was read or not. How do you set this up?

If you're allowed to embed images in the messages, you could setup a tracking script on a site.

(basically, do
<img src="yourdomain.com/image.jpg">

then at your site, use mod_rewrite to turn it into a php or asp file, and have it email your or store a record in the database with the time it was read.
