Default Tough QQ spot late in stars 109 with deepish stacks.

Stars 109 regular. 30 players cash, 38 left. Im 6th in chips at about 16.5k. Villian has about 20k and havn't seen much out of him yet. I've been moderately aggressive, mostly because i've had some hands. Blinds 400/800.

Preflop: Folds to me in MP, i raise to 2400, villian right behind me makes it 8.4k. Folds back to me.

Whats your play here? If your going to play do you shove or do you consider calling then shoving the flop in case he has AK and your looking to shut out last two cards. Our flop shove would be about half pot, hard to say if he would fold. If we reshove pre we know he'll call on 3 to 1 so any value in this little stopngo?

Would you ever consider folding here pre flop?

I don't see how you can fold QQ here. I'd just push here.

stop n go him, even on a or k flops. your main reason for sng in my book isnt to fold ak on the flop with qq but to stack jj (maybe 10 10) on low flop, that" might" have gotten away pf otherwise. he shouldn´t fold any hand on flop for a 1/2 bet.

anyway with the stacks its probably just fps cause he is probably in too deep to fold anyways

(from a 10-20$ player who most often would make a big mistake folding qq pf as pfr in mp)

OP,
If his 3betting range is QQ+ AK+ you still have 40% equity against him folding here is really bad.

no no no... this is bad IMO because minimize our wins against hands we could stack PF, but fold post flop and we maximize our losses if they wouldn't have called a push PF, but hit on the flop (like a set or AK w/ TPTK). QQ is NOT a stop 'n go hand IMO.

I definately didn't fold and really wouldn't consider it. I decided to go with Stopngo and wondered if it was correct. Just was curious if anybody liked a fold.

Look at raise size, he says im commited, but few villians will raise so big with AA/KK. Just stick it in preflop.
