NL100 | Set OOP in Raised Pot
There's been a couple posts today about how best to play a set against an unknown. Here's my line, but I could have bet a little more on the flop and therefore the turn:
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $100 CO: $150.85 Button: $116.15 SB: $146.10 Grunch: $100 Pre-flop: (5 players) Grunch is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $3, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, Grunch calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($9.5, 3 players) Grunch bets $7, UTG calls, Button folds. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($23.5, 2 players) Grunch bets $18, UTG calls. Re: NL100 | Set OOP in Raised Pot
I've been kicking myself lately for not making draws pay me on the turn bet. I think that's where i lose most value in these hands.
I dont mind the flop bet size with 2 ppl to follow you. The turn though with 1 left i'd put in $25-$39 with a final push on the river. |

Re: NL100 | Set OOP in Raised Pot
I think this is fine, he isnt folding any 8 or the straight. If he only had a 7 for the draw or a midpair/straightdraw like 77 or 76 etc then he probably isnt calling a smaller bet on the river so you may as well stack him when he does have a good enough hand.
