Stars 6.50 bubble hand, KK

I know scenarios similar to this one have been discussed before. I was a little lost on this one especially since the short stack in questions was sitting out. He wasn't even a factor and it was basically a waiting game for him to bust. Of course the following happens just as he is about to bust.

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t2940)
Button (t8364)
SB (t81)
Hero (t2115)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
CO raises to t1200, Button folds, SB folds, Hero ???

this looks like hes all in blind on this hand, and if hes sitting out stars folds his hand anyway and he loses. Regardless if hes all-in on this hand the odds of him>CO>You are like zero so poooosh

if hes disconnected he does, but sitting out he doesnt, regardless hes all in so all you have to do is hope KK beats either him or the CO and i think the odds of you getting at least 3rd are high enough to make this a push

Alright, that's what I was thinking too. I pushed and got third.

edit: Another question. A few hands earlier it was folded to me in the SB (for some reason the bigstack really wasn't taking advantage of the situation.). I had two cards in the SB and I also had the BB outchipped by about 2000 chips. I had about 4000 he had about 2000 and blinds were 200/400. The short stack was still sitting out. I pushed and the BB instacallied with KK. How bad was this call, or was the call fine?

Depends on what he thinks your range was. Probably fine.

If I understand what you are asking it is wether his intsa call with KK is bad here from your sb push. His instacall is without a doubt +EV. He would be an idiot to fold there.

edit: Just did SNG power tools calculations and it is basically only -EV if he has you on QQ+ range.

sngpt is pretty much useless b/c it cant account for the small stack sitting out. KK is still a call but not as obvious as you make it out.
