im getting together my first MSNL home game.....
im having some buddies over who fancy themselves pretty good at poker for a rea micro-stakes NL cash session (5NL).
does anyone have any suggestions on how to make things run smoothly, and to make the situation as light as possible? sometimes i think i take it a little to seriously for these guys (i dont do much live play and they notice me paying attention).... suggestions welcome... |

Re: im getting together my first MSNL home game.....
i'd recommend $5PL... maybe $0.02/$0.05 Blinds. $5NL will get out of control quickly. PL will be pretty sick, too... but it's way too easy to light $5 on fire.
Get chips, and lots of 'em. Post rules. |

I play for $10 buy in and use 5cent 10 cent blinds and the most anyone loses in about a 5 hour session is $20

Re: im getting together my first MSNL home game.....
i've found that if you play for $5, it helps if you pretend you're playing for $10 or $20 and give 2x or 4x chip value, then scale everything back down for cashouts. then when you start announcing "raise to $4" its a little more significant than a bag of candy.

The below site has a lot of info for hosting home games. The second link is a forum that might be more specific.
