Default elimination blackjack WTF

beat: I just bubbled a sit and go
brag: It was my first-ever elimination blackjack tournament, and I finished 3rd despite not knowing anything about how to properly size my bets, and only barely remembering how to play blackjack (lol painkillers)
variance: I think I may actually be +EV in these

thoughts?

If you're looking for a blackjack staker, just say so.

I think one could train a monkey to beat these things for a pretty decent amount. Some of the players are just retarded.

-yes, it's on UB
-i think i may be +EV in them because i sort of instinctually get how to size my bets around elimination hands w/r/t the other stacks at the table; also, i don't bet it all on the first hand
-as far as monkeys go, the jury is out, but there's always a chance

When golden palace first started with these in October I was able to get some monies to play poker with from the massive overlays/weak fields in blackjack mtts.
In short- many people don't have a clue, monkeys indeed could be trained, and Nath may even have a better shot than that
Elimination blackjack type events have their own set of plays that are fairly easy to familiarize yourself with based on relative chipstacks- hands remaining- bet position-etc.
I would say if you "think" you had a good intuitive grasp to start with then you likely did.
