Villain in this hand is pretty horrible, like 45/15 or something. He's one of those stubborn fishes who likes to call every preflop raise and float every c-bet. He also makes valueless riverbets with crap like bottom pair. I have had a few confrontations with him, and I've generally been owning him.

I seriously wanted to check that turn, but after like 15 seconds of thought I decided I couldn't wuss out on a draw heavy board against this guy.

He's going to be making a stupid push with the best hand pretty often. No point in calling this.

Not really too concerned about the river, I'm wondering more about my PF, flop and turn play.

Oh, 3bet preflop mostly, as played check the turn. Your hand isn't really that strong, I'd worry more about pot control than protection.

I agree that checking the turn has merit. The question however becomes how do you respond to various bets from villain? For example what would you do if he bets 1/3 pot, 1/2 pot, 3/4 pot etc.
