PS $11 Rebuy MTT - 99 hand
I think the c-bet was a little weak here so villain raised me on flop - should this just have been a check? 99 really tricky for me usually when OOP

Re: PS $11 Rebuy MTT - 99 hand
OTB I can see a normal raise, but with four to act I prolly just jam this pre-flop. Your stack is kind of awkward for any kind of flop play, esp. OOP, so take that positional advantage away.
I'm pretty sure I jam that flop as well. No, I'm positive. Yeah, you kinda asked for the raise, though I'm not sure I even lay it down then. |

Hear you on jamming flop but doesn't that turn into the ole "anyone you are beating folds and anyone who's ahead calls" kinda thing? [/ QUOTE ] I think this logic gets taken out of context a lot. It mainly applies to going all-in with a huge stack or something like that so people can just wait until they have the best hand. In this situation jamming the flop doesn't fit that logic at all. I can see some players calling you with an 88 or 77. I can also see players folding their tplk hands. Maybe I'm wrong here, i havent really looked at the stack sizes, but I here this phrase a lot in the forums when i dont think it really applies. I mean if it's true then maybe we should never ever make big bets because people will only call with better hands. Sometimes you just want to take it down anyway. i don't know if this makes any sense the way i wrote it. what do y'all think? |
