Default Check-calling nuts-no redraw on the flop

Say u get a free flop in the BB, 4 players see:

9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

And you hold 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

So I check, someone pots and I call. Standard?

Turn brings a blank and villian pots it again, I reraise it.

Is this line fine?
How many times are you against same hand better draw?

If my line isnt optimal, what if the turns gives you 2 pair while still holding the nut straight, is it ok now?

Depends how deep you are and what the other players are like.

Usually if you turn two pair you shouldn't think about giving it up, obv as long as it doesn't fill a higher straight/flush.

Sometimes you are up against a higher straight redraw or set + fd, but in this situation I think not too often, so your play is good here. Any more info re specific reads?

yea, with absolutely no redraws always best to wait till safe turn to get serious money in, if we're both deep and i know my opponent isn't going anywhere, i just try to play a smaller pot, but with shorter stacks i try to get it in on turn if possible
