AA UTG - how to get action with a tight image
I find building a tight image at B&M cardrooms is much easier than online as people are able to pick up the number of times you play much more...
This is fine as it enables me to steal. However, it's bad when you have great hands UTG. Would you ever limp it in in these situations at a table that is likely to limp behind you or find your limp suspicious? |

Re: AA UTG - how to get action with a tight image
I would prefer do something like raise in MP once and awhile with something like 78s, fold the table around. And if called you still have a shot at making something. Best case scenario is you win a pot at showdown and people will start calling your raises in EP with AA.
Best of luck, Mygtar |

I raise UTG with AA with no problem getting action. It's trying to win when 6 people are chasing you down to the river that's the problem.

Re: AA UTG - how to get action with a tight image
I'm locking this thread because of the following reasons, I recommend that the OP re-post this in the appropriate strategy forum.
1) Pre-flop strategy doesn't belong in the B&M forum 2) We don't know what game he is talking about, the limit, the structure, or the table texture. These are all variables that help formulate a recommended strategy, even for something as basic as AA pre-flop. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |
