I have no clue why you would call sixth and fold the river. Actually I have no clue why you would call sixth at all. And I'm confused about your plan for the hand on third.

You have no business calling sixth either. Granted it looks very fishy that fourth and fifth were checked, but this also means there is no money in the pot. Fold/move on. If you want to try to win the pot bet fourth. Although if he calls you're not going to be happy...

3rd is obviously a fold. If you're going to play it at least bet 4th when he checks, same again on 5th. I'm MUCH more interested in BETTING with this hand than CALLING bets. 6th and 7th are folds.

Get Sklansky on Poker. Your call on third is atrocious. Calling sixth and then folding the river makes no sense, and sixth is a fold anyway.

i actually just got Sklansky on Poker... i am a Razz newbie and logged very few hands with it. of course i do play 5K hands of PLO8 ring per day regularly [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

as far as the call on 3rd goes, i knew my hand was garbage, but it seemed like i could get in cheaply and take the pot away on 4th under the right circumstances. i certainly had no intentions of going to showdown, and was probably just being riddled by FPS (fancy play syndrome).

It's a lot easier to buy pots when you can make a pot-sized bet than when you can only bet a smallish fraction of the pot. I also wouldn't be trying anything too fancy in a $10 tournament.

through some stroke of luck i placed 10th/328 in this one. kept pushing with 34(7) when i was getting desparate and ended up with 2 or 3 pair.

i knew the field for a $10 MTT was going to be soft, but I was still amazed at how many people were calling raises with J doorcards well into the game... it was really mindblowing. aside from the hand i posted, i tried to adhere to pretty strict nutpeddling.
