limit on edits?

Is there a limit on the number of times you can edit a post? I was trying to use a thread to track something as people post their answer I wanted to add it to the original post. Is that not possible?

i believe it's a time limit, not a # of times limit. i don't know what it is though.

no no wrong way, you can only edit a post for a certain amount of time after it is made, like 15 mins or something. then it is LOCKED FOREVER

Its a time limit from the time you first make the post. Once the edit button is gone its gone. Maybe a mod can help you out?

I think it's a half an hour but I'm not sure.

I once made a post at the office, by the time I got home and logged in there was a PM from stabn cabn telling me to "edit that stupid post". [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Unfortunately I couldn't - at the time I thought it was because of a different IP address but I've since found out it's definitely time-based.
