Default Do I have enough outs to continue?

Live 20/40. Game is in about its third or fourth orbit, my seat sucks, but the game is more than good enough, and will become spectacular when some of the tight "solid" players get tired and leave, letting me to rip the morons apart by myself. I've never played with villain before, however I've seen him get to showdown after pretty loose preflop raises two times now. Once with QTo UTG+2 in a full (9 handed) game and again with A9o after 1 limp (by the worst player in the game, but I don't know if villain knew this) and 2 folds in full game.

7 handed right now, action player and another dude are complaining that they "ran out" of comps for this game. Folds to villain in CO who opens, I defend with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Flop
5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, villain bets, I raise, he 3 bets

The key to his 3 bet, is that my raise looked automatic and it just didn't look like it was an "I hit the flop" raise. Usually my raises look completely normal in this spot, but as soon as I grabbed my raising chips and started to put them on the felt, I just felt like my raise looked completely predictable, and I could practically feel a 3 bet coming already. So, with this said, I am expecting villain to 3 bet extremely liberally in this specific situation, with 77+ for sure, maybe even with AK (AJ/AT too for all I know). However, due to limited experience with this villain, I cannot yet say if this 3 bet will also be performed by strong hands like an overpair/TPTK/set, because I don't know if villain is thinking correctly, meaning that if he has in fact detected my auto check/raise, then he should only be calling the flop with the intention of raising me on the turn or river (although with how obvious I felt my c/r looked, I was thinking about check/folding the turn in the moment between my raise and his 3 bet if I didn't improve, possibly only c/c if I did improve) with his bigger hands.

I would call the 3-bet only for metgame purposes. I find it's often a bad idea to try to push somebody off a hand out of position when all I know about him is he has been getting to showdowns. And it's often a bad idea to assume that another player sees my flop check-raise as an "auto" one. Plus it's hard to rip these guys apart with J-7 on a Q-6-5 flop.

Yeah, I really hate the way I played this hand. Since I know he is sort of loose then preflop isn't a big deal, but trying to take away the pot with nothing is probably a large mistake against this guy. I've been wanting to win every pot lately for some reason, as this hand shows.

My guess is you'll see a turn-check-behind often enough to make the flop peel correct even without "metagame". Of course this assumes you play reasonably well when you turn a pair or draw (which in this spot is not so obvious how to do).
