id rather lead out here. good chance you have the best hand since there were no preflop raises, and perhaps some action from weaker aces that limped in. but i don twant to risk it being checked around and giving a free card.

I like the CRAI. Villain is committed to call so long as he has anything at all.

I'm not the biggest fan. I think the c/r basically turns your hand into a bluff. Against some opponents this might be ok if they are huge calling stations or can't fold flush draws. Leadings ok, but I like checking better.

To be honest, I almost want to simply fold to this bet, most people don't just bet pot for no reason.

With this stack size I almost want to push/fold preflop.

edit: 1 more limper or antes and I really like a shove here. Helps if a big stack isn't last to act as well.

With A9 and 13 BBs in the SB after one LP limper I give a PF push a lot of thought.

I lead the flop no doubt, but the result is probably going to be the same as here.

Pretty much, if you're going to be behind. If Villain is drawing or has a strong PP, he's not going to check-behind many flops after your check, and those that he does gives you a free card to improve. Although your chances of improving are pretty low, you want to go to the felt with this.

A LP limper trapping with QQ or KK, for instance, would c-bet the flop pretty strongly, unassumingly "knowing" you don't have an A and can price out the times you have your heart draws.

But, yeah, a PF push is probably more +cEV here.

Edit: Multi-way, not so much. c/f 'cause you got two to act after and I dislike the UTG limp.

Preflop, I'll probably fold 25%, call 25%, and push 50% of the time.

Postflop, I'll probably lead 50% of the time, and check/fold or check/push 50% depending on the action back to me.

Here, I think the check/push is pretty because we'll get called by a lot of worse hands that put us on a draw, and occasionally called by draws.

No problem at all IMO with how this one played out.
