Default TI poker room rate?

Has anyone gotten the room rate at TI?

Casino marketing quoted an 8 hour play requirement (!) on the weekend, and for that they could not tell me a rate, only that the poker room would determine the discount.

What experience have others had?

You guys ever find out what the deal is on this? I presume call the poker room and ask, no?

Yes, but it was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer.

Poker room first said to call casino marketing. Casino marketing then said to call the poker room. Did that, got the room requirements - eight hours of play - but not a rate.

A later call to the poker room resulted in someone pulling in a manager who quoted a rate- $260 for Friday, $130 for Saturday.

A post on the allvegaspoker forums indicated that the room had not been busy of late. That, combined with those requirements for that rate made the TI a lot less attractive.

Will most likely try to stop by and check out the card room, though.

TI's poker room is pretty pathetic. It's a very small room, not more than 10 tables. All they had when I was there in September was 2/4 limit 1/3 NL, usually only 1 or two tables of each. They were promoting single table sit'n go's, but they never seemed to have enough players to get them going when I was there. Wynn's poker room was busy, limit from 4/8 to 15/30, and NL up to at least 5/10. Venetion had quite a few levels of NL, but mostly only got 4/8 limit going. The 4/8 limit was a loose-passive fish pond. Mirage's poker room looked busy, but I didn't play there. This was weekday evenings. I imagine things get a little busier on weekends, but I think TI is probably the worst place in the center strip to play.

Call the 800 # for Mirage. Ask for the Poker Room and then ask for Kathleen. She will make a reservation for you. $89-109 weekdays, 139-199 weekends depending on how busy it is, basicly the casino rate. Better Hotel.

The only benefit of staying at TI instead of Mirage is that you are right across the bridge from Venetian, and closer to Wynn. At Mirage, take the tram to TI and go from there. Stay at Mirage.

El Cortez is cheaper and the 1 3 3 6 hold em game is crushable.

And the 1-3 stud game is godly IMO (which is worth next to nothing)
