Default USC or MICHIGAN

so my buddy wants to bet me that USC will be ranked #2
while i think its gonna be michigan.
both teams struggled to win today.
usc barely beat asu which got blown out by cal (big ups)
and michigan also struggled vs psu.

any thoughts on which team is going to take over the #2 spot now that florida lost to auburn?

Anyone who thinks it's close is an idiot.

i agree its just that the pollsters seem to have a hard on for USC.
i didn't think they deserved to be #3 going into this week but i was proven wrong.

USC will be the #2 team in the country according to the polls.

That's probably not accurate (and I don't think Michigan is the second best team in the country either).

Pete Carroll is just Belichicking teams right now. This USC team is definitely top 10, but it's not the 2003-2005 juggernaut we've been seeing. I think they're going to have a real tough time beating Cal, even at home.

michigan didn't really struggle to win. it wouldn't have been as close if penn didn't score late in the 4th

Which poll are you betting on? The coaches and Harris polls are definitely going to have USC at #2, but the AP poll could go either way. The AP Poll only had them separated by 22 points last week, and the Trojans close game against what's been a pretty bad ASU team looks significantly worse than Michigan playing it close to the vest with Manningham out. Also, now that they're not a component of the BCS, a lot of the voters in the AP poll seem to want to "separate themselves" to show that their poll's still significant, and I could see some voters who had Fla, USC, UM changing to UM, USC this week. If it's just an action bet, I don't see anything wrong with predicitng Michigan will move up to 2 in the AP poll, but in the other two, they really don't stand a chance.

I'm assuming you're talking about the BCS... and it will be USC. If you want to bet on Michigan, you'd better get your friend to lay you spectacular odds, or else consider it a donation.

USC has to be #2 in all three polls in order for me to lose, so if michigan can get some well deserved respect in any of the polls i win.

if usc is ranked #2 it will be a joke.
and come nov. 18 they'll get bounced from the top ten.
