Default I saw an incredible unsigned band last night--any way I can profit?

I was at this local music club last night and I saw a band that absolutely [censored] rocked. I literally couldn't believe that I was able to see a band that good without paying for it. They had a sort of retro sound, kind of like the White Stripes mixed with Cream. Their stage presence and charisma was incredible. I really think that in the States (I'm in Australia right now) they would at least have a medium level of success where they could tour around the country and people would know who they are.

Anyway, is there any way I could profit from "discovering" them despite not knowing anything about the music business? I'm guessing no.

I was slightly drunk, but I've seen plenty of bands hammered and haven't had this reaction from anyone who wasn't already known. I'm going to see their next show to make sure:
1. It wasn't just the booze
2. I wasn't just comparing them to the crappy opening bands.

Still, at worst, they're an 8.5/10 instead of a 10/10.

what you can do is talk to them. Act like a manager and pay for them to record. Bands love stuff like that. Then read a book on basic music contracts. And promote them. Then realize no one likes them. Cry forever

Without connections you really don't have much to offer them.

Bands with medium level success don't make any money anyway.
