Default Party turbo 109s, medium stack on the bubble, am I too loose ?

Haven't got hh, from memory :

5-handed, blinds 200 400
utg : t11000
hero, co : t4500
button : t1000
sb : t2000
bb : t1500

utg, folds, hero pushes with 33.
I do this all the time, often get loose calls, lose a coinflip and have to push with crap after.
Should I keep my rather healthy stack (compared to the shortstacks) and wait for better hands ?
I guess this play is better in MTTs.

Another one :
4-handed, blinds 200 400

co : t10000
button : t3500
sb : t2000
hero, bb : t4500

All fold to sb who pushes (and would push any 2 here) hero calls with kq.

Harrington advocates very tight calling requirements when you're threatened by elimination on the bubble (in sngs), in those two situations, I don't die if I lose but am in very bad shape and will have to push any two due to a v low M.

Thoughts ?

The first one, I think you are being a bit too aggressive, given that the shortstack M is less than 2.5. I will fold here, and allow the two shorter stack to duke it out.

EDIT: Didn't notice it was 5-handed. Still I think its borderline to push, but I'm not sure actually.

The second one, I would call for sure. Even if you loose, you still don't have to push any two, nesxt hand. You have two shots at getting a hand, before the blind comes, so that improves it a lot IMO, and even then, you can play the hand from the big blind and hope they fold to you (unlikey, I know, but anyway). If you win here, you will have 6500 and be a contender for first.

Easy push and easy call, respectively.

Also, SNGPT will solve these kinds of problems for you.

You might wanna take a step back and re-evaluate your game if you think these are tough decisions. The first one I can't even fathom folding, second one is an instacall unless Villain is reaaaaaaally tight.

after utg folded, i would definitly push any two, your fold equity is way too large
