The tablets are primarly a non United States thing. They are called plaques and they usually aren't in dollars. A few Vegas casinos use them in the high limit lounges, but not for poker. The Aladdin had $1 million plaques that are no longer in use or even available.

If not in dollars than in what?

I've heard Foxwoods has them but I'm not even sure I believe it.

Sure, man. The $25 dollar chips are brown instead of green. When you bet one at blackjack they yell "checks play". Actually, upon closer inspection, you will find the $25 chips were actually greenish at one time, but the years and years of wear and grime have turned them brown.

They actually also have black $100 chips, which I used one time to take full odds on a $10 line bet at craps. Immediately about 3 pit bosses rushed over and tried to comp me dinner or what ever I wanted. Oddly enough, the $100 chips look new and practically unused.

But still the fun is using and clinking the big "silver" dollars and playing hand dealt single deck BJ for $2 a hand.

This may come to a shock to you, but American currency is not the only currency available. He is saying most of the ones you will see are from foreign casinos.
