6 Max NL Tips/Guides
Im currently trying out 6max play and Im wondering if anyone has any links to good guides to help improve my play. Postflop I dont have much of a problem, but preflop is where I struggle at times. Not knowing which hands I should be raising with or reraising with.

Preflop play in 6 handed games depends on your opponents. Playing 6 handed you should be able to get a feel of your opponents very easily. There are only 5 of them! Watch closly how they play and put them on a playing type (loose, agressive, etc).
Playing 6 handed play you can play more hands than you could in a full ring game. You can also become more agressive. A good preflop raise should usually leave you with one or two opponents. Don't be afriad to be agressive because that's what you need to do in 6 handed games. -HoldemPokerPlyr

Not knowing which hands I should be raising with or reraising with. Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] My selection preflop is something like that. AK trough A9, KQ trough KT, QJ,QT, JTs and any pair. I raise with every of these hands when no one enters the pot and i might limp with the worst of these hands when a guy limps before me. When they are 2 limpers, i limp with suited connectors in late position, but almost never play them in another situation because there're not very profitable in short handed games. For the reraise hands, it depends on the opponent but in general TT or better are automatic raises against anyone and AK. Against donks i might also reraise with AQ, AJs 88 and 99. That's it, it's pretty tight, i'm sure than the majority play looser than this but it works pretty well against donks.
