Default $1/$2 Party SB defense

A little help on my small blind defense. I just need to know what you'd do differently, or if this is a good enough line.

I have two hands I'd like to discuss, but I'll start with the first.

The TAG on the button is a good thinking TAG it seemed to me. Probably from here. I think his stats are 15/7/3 over the almost 100 hands I have on him. His "attempt to steal blind" is at a smooth 100%. After seeing him play on another table, and now on my right, I have to put him on any 2 when it is folded to him on the button.

Basically, the correct play.

PARTY $1/$2 (10 handed)

Augster is in the SB with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Preflop: 7 Folds, <font color="red">Button Raises </font>, <font color="red">Augster 3-bets</font>, BB folds, Button calls.

FLOP:(5sb) Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Augster BETS, <font color="red"> Button RAISES </font> , Augster????

I have to still be ahead of his range correct? I didn't have him on any 2 per se, but any two suited, any pocket pair, any ace, any king, maybe any queen, and any two broadway. Well, almost any 2.

What is the proper play from here on out. Call down? Call and bet the turn? What if I'm raised then after a blank?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I would think you just call down. He probably was on a steal. If the guy has a PP or Qx, you are way behind. Also, I am not sure what a "blank". If he would steal with Ax, any card higher than 2 could pair his kicker. For me, its just too much risk for a pair of fours.

Just my two cents,

Leo

Another line which works well against TAG's is to just call the PF raise, c/r the flop and lead the turn. If villain doesnt get a piece of thge flop, its hard to call the turn bet.
