Government databases: good for the plebes, bad for the fabulous
The British government is putting together a database of "interesting information" on all the children in the country (and their families, of course).
Oh, but if you're a "celebrity" you can have your children's information excluded from the database. Obviously, the politicians who are constructing this database have qualified themselves as celebrities. UK Guardian [ QUOTE ] Between 300,000 and 400,000 users will access the index. Children who have a reason for not being traced, for example where there is a threat of domestic violence or where the child has celebrity status, will be able to have their details concealed.
