Default 2/4 Absolute - QJo, Should I even bother on turn with top pair

2/4 on Absolute, Villain in hand is 55/0/0.5 over 75 hands
(sorry I can't get the hand converter to work for Absolute hands from PT for some reason)

I post in the cut-off and get Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villain calls UTG, UTG+1 calls, everyone else folds to me, I check, the button folds, the SB completes and the BB checks so there's 5 players to the flop for 1 small bet apiece

Flop comes 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

The blinds check, Villain leads out UTG, UTG+1 folds, I make it 2 small bets, the blinds fold back to the Villain who just calls (4.5 big bets)

Turn is the 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villain checks, I bet, and Villain check-raises me... should I even bother continuing? There are 7.5 big bets in the pot at that point

Thanks

i cant picture him holding anything less than two pair here as passive as he is. easy fold.

I think that after posting, I'd raise preflop. I'd try to gain position and initiative. I think checking is a mistake with QJ and the two limpers. UTG is loose. What about the other guy?

I think you played the flop well.

I would bet-fold that turn. So, yeah, I'd fold here after he raises the turn.

You could always raise and make it your last bet in the pot, but I'm LAG.

i think this is spew...i'd rather call down for the same amount and see a showdown. If you have a read that your opponent likes to bluff raise the turn, then your line has merit.

If I had a read that the villain bluff raised, this would give me all the more reason to call down for the same amount as raising.

But these don't look like the stats of a bluff raiser. Also, he bet the flop.

Yeah, reraising the turn does seem spewing IMO. Without further reads, I think you should fold turn after he raises you. Calling down is my second choice.
