Default Re: Pre Flop Questions

1: Fold - your oop with a weak ace against a raise and still two limpers to act.

2: Fold this UTG in FR. I wouldnt even try to limp this from this position. Your hand has great potential but you will most likely be playing oop postflop and you dont want that with this A8s.

3: Fold.. again your oop with a hand that is very likely to loose a lot of money if your up against KQ, AK, AJ.. Do you think villain would make a raise with <=KT or <=QJ?

4: I dont play FR but I think i would like a raise here instead of a limp preflop. As played im folding to the raise from MP3. Since you call his raise I would like you to bet out on the flop. This flop hit your hand pretty good and you have absolutely no idea what to do if you check and villain bets out strong.

Hand 1: I normally fold cause I don't like playing flush draws OOP all that much. I could see a call here because the raise is so small and the limpers will most likely come along.

Hand 2: In 6-max I raise first in. In FR it's probably a fold the first time around.

Hand 3: Hand is easily dominated vs. someone with a sense of position. This shortstack probably doesn't, but it's still marginal. I usually fold.

Hand 4: I raise the first time around.

Hand #1
I guess you can call and hope for a draw or just fold at NL10.

Hand #2
Don't open-limp, raise or toss it.

Hand #3
Playing a possibly dominated hand oop vs shortstack, depends on villian. I'd fold without reads.

Hand #4
I'd raise this, call a re-raise depending who's re-raising preflop.

Default Re: Pre Flop Questions

The major problem I'm having with pre-flop play at this point is what to do when I limp and get raised 3, 4, or 5 times the blind back to me.

I'm trying not to limp much, but sometimes it's limped in front of me and I have AXs, suited connectors, a small PP, etc... and I'd like to see a flop. When it gets raised, the odds often don't seem too far out of line for a call, especially if someone else before me already called the raise.

I simply have no standards for calling raises once I've limped.

Has anything been written/discussed on this subject (favorite thread or something).

Thanks
