Re: Civic Hybrid
My non-hybrid Civic is averaging 35 mpg. I'd need a bump well into the 40's to justify the purchase. On the plus side, my Civic has been a great car, minus--massive amounts of road noise. Get a nice stereo installed.

Re: Civic Hybrid
okay, more detailed naswer, my co-worker has one, doesn't drive much in the city, but claims an avg of 50 mpg. I have seen the HU display which reads this as well. Fairly impressive, but my other former co-woker had a prius which seemed to do better.

Re: Civic Hybrid
They are solid as far as hybrids go but you give no info as you why you are considering buying one.
Be more specific and maybe we can help you decide whether one is right for you. |

[/ QUOTE ] I currently have a scion xa.... I have outgrown it and want a little bigger car with a trunk..I do not have a ton of money and do drive to and from work everyday about 20 some miles... plus drive to school about 30 miles... so I am looking for a nice car, that gets good mpg and is not a [censored] car... |

Re: Civic Hybrid
other than small how was the xa?
hybrids dont do well in cold climtes or wher e you need good traction. and you wont likely recover the extra cost from the gas savings. but a good green way to go. prius gets worse milage but better car but a hatch back again. corrola may be it as it will get same as you xa mileage. |
