Was going to note the same thing, nice juxtaposition. Solid ep.

Acting felt a little off in some spots, but still really enjoying the plot, and I like the angle their taking involving the kids.

Question though, What's the deal with Dennis (Boxing Coach) and the long shots of him staring at the one kid? I felt at first maybe they were going somewhere nutty like him perhaps attempting to molest him or something, I dunno, confuzzled.

Not sure. How long was he in? How old is the kid? Maybe not.

Not sure how long he was in, don't think they ever said, but implied it was a while. I don't know, just doesn't seem to be in his character to do something like that, but they really showed him focusing on that one kid for a while, I don't know, maybe he knew her mother, or something.

I dunno.

He was noticing that the kid had the raw talent to be a good boxer.

How the [censored] do you poeple not pick up on this.

He noticed him working the bad, and then later in the show offered to coach him.

I thought this ep was really good. I loved the little look between Bubbles and Prez in the school.

Also enjoy Jay Landsman [censored] people just a little. He's just a fantastic character.

The "Bubs Depo" sign on the shopping cart was classic.

The only issues I have with this fine series are:

1. The surveillance: cops in cars on stakeout or on rooftops going undetected, especially in prior seasons. Please.

2. Slingers getting surprised by cops suddenly zipping around the corner. Even small-time dealers in Oakland have lookouts everywhere.

I will promise you the people writing this show know more about this kind of stuff than you do.
