Default Is WPEX no rake worth all this #@$#@?

I have had alot of little troubles with the site. Especially around cashout. But today they took $130 out of my account. They said they were taking a deposit bonus back cause i didnt use it in the sports book. I didn't know I HAD a deposit bonus. I was never informed of it, or what to do to keep it.

Rather than make things right, they just apologize for the inconvienince. So now I'm out $130 that I thought I had.

The number of little things like this is rapidly pushing me away from this site

How are you out $130 if you never deposited the money and it was a bonus? Seems like you had $130 you knew you should not have had and they took it back. I would hardly call you "out" $130 since it was never yours anyway.

if you had 130 in bonus that means you deposited 650 during the time period. To keep the 130 you would have to sportsbet $3900 (($650 DEP + 130 BONUS) * 5 TIMES ROLLOVER)

If you lost the $130 before rolling it over 5 times they use your rakeback to pay it back

so unless you are a big sports bettor the money was useless to you anyways

Default my point is...

I did not know anything about the promotion. I didn't even realize there was $130 more in my account.

Their communication is terrible sometimes. I've had to walk several people thru cashouts thru instadebit. After you cashout your origional deposit it LOOKS as though you can't cashout anymore.

I still get some disconnects, but what really steams me is the software glitch where if your mouse is over a preaction button when the table becomes "active" it goes ahead and clicks that action for you. Easy fix but they don't seem to be too worried about it

There are many little things they could do to improve, but thier attitude seems to be "hey, no rake. Why do anything different?"

I do think they care. WSEX GM's appearances on these forums are evidence of that.

However, with this sports-bonus thing I think they could do a better job of communicating what's going on.

If you NEVER go into the sports-book, as I suspect is the case for many 2+2'ers, then you know nothing about it.
Of course, if you never do this then they aren't going to be as interested in your business in the first place but I agree that's not the point right now.

The way it is done currently, your balance as it appears in the Poker-client cashier is going to appear different than your balance in the sports-book.

You can click the cashier in the poker-room and see $500.
Then when you go to cash-out by clicking on 'banking' I think it takes you to the sports-book total and might show that you have $650 or something.

If you hadn't been checking your 'true' total in the poker-client or hadn't been paying attention then it's easy to see that "available to cash-out" part of $650 and just figure that's what your 'real' total is and that you won all that money in the poker-room.

yeah, that gets pretty confusing.

The player needs to be aware to JUST cash-out the amount that they have in the poker-room and not go over that.
But I think that WSEX should be doing this differently to alleviate the confusion.

But it appears that if you just cashed out the whole balance INCLUDING the sports-bonus then that pretty much amounts to them just fronting you some of the future rake-back.

In hoosertim's case - They cashed-out the full $130 bonus from the sports-book that he had never touched or cleared. Taking that out of future rake-back in the poker-room actually is more than fair. It's like they're loaning him $130 extra worth of poker rakeback in hopes that he'll come back evnetually and clear that in the poker-room later.
but he doesn't have to return if he doesn't want to and the $130 is his to keep.

It's all really weird, and not only does it cause confusion for the customers...it also sets up WSEX for abuse by their customers.

Decide that you don't want to play there ever again?? Go ahead and cash-out everything including an extra $200 or more that you have leftover from the deposits, etc.

I feel a little awkward explaining a way to abuse WSEX's system like this. But it should be obvious to anyone with half-a-brain that this can be done because they continually allow you to cash-out the bonus money and just say, "We're going to take it out of your poker-rakeback when you return to the room."

If others think that actually pointing this out is inappropriate then I can edit this post...or later we can ask Mike Haven to edit it as he sees fit.

I have zero intentions of cashing-out everything I have there just for a piddly extra $100 or $200 from deposits because having the opportunity to make 100% rake-back for $1k/week or more is far more valuable.
I also bet pretty small-time in their sportsbook so I may actually clear the bonus requirements for that eventually anyway.

I play for the enjoyment not as a living so the irritations are just not worth it.

So this was not money rightfully yours?

Just money you "thought you had"?

What's the problem?
Do you really expect to let you keep a deposit bonus they'd credited but you hadn't cleared?

Bodog and a lot of other sites with sportsbooks do the exact same thing, although some won't let you withdraw any money you won with their bonus either.
