Default QQ limped 5/10

Did I play this okay?

1st 10 hands I had played with Villain, I was planning on folding to raise on river.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($756.26)
Button ($1447.73)
SB ($881.20)
BB ($985)
Hero ($1036.50)
MP1 ($1646)
MP2 ($1810.53)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
Hero calls $10, 1 fold, MP2 calls $10, 2 folds, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($40) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $30, MP2 calls $30, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($100) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $75, MP2 raises to $150, Hero calls $75.

River: ($400) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $250, MP2 calls $250.

Final Pot: $900

I hardly ever raise any hand UTG or UTG +1. If I do it will usually be a suited connector. Is that bad?

you lose value on ure good hands... so yes. limp only every once in a while w/ good hands to balance ure limps w/ weak hands or just dont open limp ever... seems to mean ure losing some Ev here tho

I really don't mind this in average online full table games w/ 100BB stacks, but once it gets down to 6-7 players, I think you are giving up too much by never raising early. It sucks playing big pots OOP w/ marginal hands, but a lot of times you'll have the best hand and a blind may call you anyways, where you're playing an inflated pot in position.

If you're limp reraising a decent amount to protect your limps w/ SCs, low PPs, then that's ok i guess too - but again, the shorter the table the worse off this strategy becomes as a default.

it is bad and very exploitable. anyone that knows your strat can easily limp behind with implied odds to stack your big hands and 3-bet your opening raises very light. you should just open raise most of your hands in a 7-handed game like this IMO.

I don't get stacked with pairs.

Also, I agree in a shorter handed table I need to raise, I think I thought it was full, but really 2 or 3 people were sitting out.

Fwiw I havn't played 100bb NL cash in a long time. I'm used to playing real deep 400+, so maybe this is why I play like this and maybe it is indeed a leak.
