Do you protect?
Stupid question time of the day. Consider it more of a sanity check.
Compatible converter down sorry, but. Q8o in the BB. 3 callers, one early, 2 middle. All others fold including the small blind. That should put us at just about exactly 4.5sb. Reads are 2 callers are sort of solid, 3rd is a role model for calling stations everywhere. Flop is 668 rainbow. I bet, solid players fold, calling station thinks, then folds. This is normal yes? I'm sort of going to the doctors office without any symptoms here, sorry. I don't think there's a more optimal play is there? Time for my check-up. |

Re: Do you protect?
Looks fine, you may want to try and c/r a late position bettor if you know there is going to be one, although you are afraid of most of the deck and don't really want a caller here.

sounds fine to me. It's only interesting if/when you get raised.

[/ QUOTE ] It sounds like the LP guy is an LPP guy . This will get checked thru a lot. Also, if we c/r & get 3-bet by one of the other two, it's time to fold. I'd rather b/f the flop, or b/c & b/f the turn. Buzz |

Re: Do you protect?
Well lets look at all our options shall we?
Fold: Insane Bet: We likely have the best hand and wouldn't mind taking this down right now. Check: Benefit: small chance of c/r depending on opponents (reads needed). Con: getting checked through and half the deck could make someone else the leader on the turn. Terrible! A check is too dangerous and our hand is too vulnerable to not bet this. |

Not super tight, not super loose. Not super aggressive, not super passive. Not super good, not super bad. They're just all around non-super. But as I said, last to act is a role model for calling stations everywhere. Either way, thanks for the input. |

Re: Do you protect?
I don't see what else you can do. LP is unlikely to bet it for you. Bet and hope for three folds is what I'd do.

Re: Do you protect?
If you say the other two are solid they may have raised a pocket pair 99+ preflop, also if they are solid I can't see them playing a random 6. You are ahead most of the time, so MUST bet to protect agaisnt overcards (there are probably a lot out there).
