Default Kobi jobs Amare out of All Star MVP

Kobi 31 pts 13-24 from field, 3-9 from 3s, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals/blocks, 4 TO.
Amare 30 pts 14-22 from field, 0-1 from 3, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals/blocks (including a devastating snuff of Howard), 1 TO.

Could it be any clearer?????

Amare even had 5 personal fouls to only one for Kobe, proving he was trying harder.

And it wasn't from D'Antoni giving Amare too many minutes. 28 minutes for Kobe, 20 for Amare.

[ QUOTE ]

Amare Stoudemire scored 29 points in 21 minutes, 15 seconds, the second-highest ratio of any 20-point scorer in an NBA All-Star Game. The record is held by Michael Jordan, who scored 40 points in 29 minutes in 1988.

[/ QUOTE ]

It totally sucks that the most prestigious league individual award in the most important game of the year was clearly decided by fear, ignorance and racism. If Kobe wasn't so entrenched in the white corporate power establishment and Amare didn't have so many tats and look so gangsta, Amare would have won going away.

What next, are we going to job Barkley out of his victory over that old cracker Bavetta?

Cat,

Compelling argument! I have no choice but to agree.

I'm guessing that the voters consciously cast their vote for the rapist. Either that, or for the guy who scored the most points.

Amare looked very serious out there. He almost killed Lebron once.

Most of Amare's points were catch-and-dunk. Kobe's points were more of the spectacular variety. I have no idea what this means.

I would have voted for Kobe though.

Amare had 29, not 30.

I'd pick Kobe in this one. It is close, but not that close.

Trying hard in an All-Star game should be minus MVP points. This is AND-1 mix tape, this isn't real basketball game. Hot Sauce would be all-century all-star team if he could play ball.

Does desert cat ever post about basketball without bashing Kobe or praising the Suns?
