Default What Magazines Should I Subscribe To?

I like having magazines around the apartment to read when I get home from law school, sitting on the toilet, or take for the train.

I am 21, work out a lot, stay up on politics and current events. I like sports. basically everything you'd expect of a 21 yr old male.

So what magazines should I subscribe to?

I'm thinking of getting 2, possibly three, so give me a list of your top 3 print magazines.

New York Magazine - for light lifestyle reading

The New Yorker - is good but you may want some lighter reading I find that I find that there are good articles but waaay wordy.

GQ used to be good but I haven't read it in at least 6 years.

For fun, Maxim

Also do you have any special interests besides sports (e.g. movies, fishing, collecting etc.)?

Not any hobbies worthy of a magazine.

Side question:

Maxim v. FHM v. Stuff

SI v. ESPN

GQ v. Esquire

Times v. Newsweek v. US News & WR

Penthouse v. Playboy

Mew Yorker v. Harper's

Who wins these?
