Playing AAces bad?
Ok its a 4-2 game 6 handed Hero is in BB with AA MP Raises to 12 folds to hero, hero makes it 44, MP calls I havent seen that many hands with villan so i have no read. 88 in pot - Flop 9 K Q rainblow Hero bets 60 - MP calls 208 in pot - Turn 9 K Q 9 no flush draw Hero checks Villan bets 160 hero calls 568 in pot - River 9 K Q 9 5 Villan has 100 left Hero puts him all in villan calls. Im puting him on AK KQ KK QQ or J10 on the turn The reason I check is I will probably go bust vs the hands that beat me any way and I might pick up some extra value from those that dont. I dont know if i play thise hand this way normaly sometimes I would fold on the turn or bet the turn and fold to a raise or check to a call are those lines better? What do you think? |

Re: Playing AAces bad?
once he calls you on the flop, you should be done with the hand. if the turn checks through you can value bet the river (and fold to an all-in), but as played i think it is a pretty easy fold. i realize the turn 9 tempts you to call, but folding is probably better. oh and if you're going to call, with 100 left, just raise the turn all in so he can at least call it off with a pair and a gutshot.

Re: Playing AAces bad?
if im playing against the type of player where i might feel
like this hand would be good more often that not, is a check better than a bet on the turn. |

Re: Playing AAces bad?
if you have some read that your hand is good more often than not, then yes a check is good on the turn, but stick in that last 100 then and there while he might still be drawing.

Re: Playing AAces bad?
As played can I really give up my hand on the turn he has AK so many times here doesnt he? checking and giving up ill be losing alot of +Ev from AK or some draw, or does it not matter considering im getting stacked to find out.
