Default laptop for poker - what do i need

i'm thinking about getting a laptop solely for poker. i know very little about the specs i'll need (other than 1600x1200 resolution). is there anything i need to avoid? what kind of price am i looking at? any input would be appreciated.

Dell E1705 with WUXGA screen

At least Core Duo 1.6GHz
At least 1GB RAM
I recommend 7200RPM Harddrive (60GB Minimum)

You may want to get a video card with dedicated memory (like ati x1300 or 1400) for when vista comes out if you choose to upgrade

You'll probably be looking at around $1200-1500 for it. I would not buy it unless you can get it for 30-35% off

Bob,

Did you end up making a purchase? Do you have a recommendation?

I bought that laptop but realized 3 hours later that it doesn't have PCMCIA which I need for my mobile sprint card and sprint doesn't make a pc express card...otherwise it looked like a perfect laptop almost...any others that are similar?

I was considering the following, which cost about $1870 (without buying an extended warranty). How do people think this compares to the Dell?

HP dv 8000T

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2500 (2.0 GHz)
Display 17.0" WXGA+ Ultra BrightView Widescreen (1440x900)
Graphics Card 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600
Memory FREE Upgrade to 1.0GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512MB)!!
Hard Drive 100 GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
Primary CD/DVD Drive LightScribe Super Multi 8X DVD+/-RW w/Double Layer
Networking Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth
Productivity Software Microsoft(R) Works/Money
Security Software Norton Internet Security 2006 - 24 Mo Subscription
OS and Recovery Media Genuine Windows XP Professional Backup CD

i was at my parent's place and played on my dad's dell 9400. it worked very well with PT auto-importing while i played (i don't use a HUD so i can't comment on that), but the 1440x900 resolution sucks, as i hate overlap.
