Default two hands (one where i overplay, one where i underplay)

hand 1. i get AhKh in the CO and raise to 70. Some guy who's been coldcalling me all over the place coldcalls on the button. Funpoker222 makes it 300 to go in the SB. we both have 2K behind.

I push. Fun?

hand 2. Whoedy raises to 70 or so in the CO. I make it 260 in the SB with red QQ. folded back to him and he calls. I have 2800 behind and he covers.

Flop comes T92r. I bet 360. He calls.

Turn brings a T. I check, he bets 700, and I fold

funpoker is pretty lag and likes to squeeze from a lot of spots. his range is pretty wide here. i've seen him make lots of pushes in your spot with hands ranging from 99+ to AT+ etc. but idk what his calling range is. i think 4betting here is pretty standard at 10/20 and push def has most FE but i dont think we want him to fold really. id almost prefer a raise to 6-700 hoping he pushes worse aces

and hand 2 seems fine i guess. i think its more likely that he has a T here than a slowplayed bigger overpair which I think he pushes the flop with....maybe not

shoving hand 1 is a HUGE mistake.

I don't think it's that big a mistake except for metagame reasons. I would make it 700.

how is it not a huge mistake?

he often 4 bet shoves as a semi bluff with dumb hands, so we take away a BIG LAG'S chance to hand us 1400, often drawing slim with Ax.

and he's usually turbo folding AT-AQ pf if we shove, but he might 4 bet shove those hands.

because given the pot size i really want him to fold pairs, and non paired, non Ax, non Kx hands right?

My mistake then. I haven't played with him enough to know that he often 4bet shoves weaker hands.
