AA against a very bad board
I am very new to non-tourney no-limit outside a B&M. It is hard for me to tell if I am pressing or just foolhardy. I had played about 20 hands with MP1 and he seemed pretty tight so my read was he had a larger pair. I pushed all-in post flop, but realize I may have way overstepped a small advantage if he did have KK, QQ, JJ.

Re: AA against a very bad board
I think you should muck the aces (and swallow your vomit). You're (very often) a slight favourite or a huge dog.

Re: AA against a very bad board
raise more preflop(like 24ish).
as played, fold flop. if you had the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], it would be a lot closer, i think i'd call then but im not sure. EDIT: im confused on the flop action. i think the converter messed up. |

Re: AA against a very bad board
If he had the Ac it would be an easy call, imo.

Re: AA against a very bad board
All, hero pushed on flop...
To OP, reload pf, as is, you should be raising to ~35 pf and pushing any flop, even this one. As played, I would make a ~20 bet and fold to a push by villain. if he calls I would shutdown. |

Re: AA against a very bad board
All--
Thanks for the feedback, I think I was a little aggressive. I like all the options given and do see I could have definitely played it differently. The Preflop we he raising the blind to $9 and Hero rising that to $18. Villan called. I agree going to $35 would have been easier for him to put me on AA and enough worry that I had Ac to fold. |
