Default 200NL - toppair with straight draw

Live Game $200NL $3/5 blinds
effective stacks $185

Relevant players:
Villian MP3
Hero SB w/ 7[s]8[c]

UTG folds, 5 calls (including villian), hero calls, BB checks
Pot - $35

Flop
5[h]6[c]7[h]
Hero bets $15 folds to villian who raises to $30, folds back to Hero.

Hero???

Just call, or Raise?

This game has been relatively tight, and villian is not really much different. I've played with him several times, and although he's tight, he bluffs occasionally. Also, I've seen him slowplay big pairs PF before.

Comments appreciated.

Your hand is not worth a raise. You are getting 5.3:1, so this is an easy call.

Your draw (or bluff catcher) has say 5 effective outs,so I'd call with the odds rather than risk betting myself of the draw. Besides there are more big (or small) pair hands than 89 .Also, if he was first to enter, he may be less likely to have a hand with a nine and more likely a pair.

Definately do not raise here. A call is fine.
