Anyone Been to Tahiti?

Gonna be there from Feb 1-14 on a stopover between New Zealand and Vegas. Any help in regards to where to stay and what do see would be really appreciated. Will ball outta control for a couple nights in Bora Bora but wouldnt mind finding some cheap joints to chill at for a bit too.

my sister once decided that high school sports is more important than a trip to Tahiti. I did not go.
